| Praised by international press for her musical understanding and personality, perfect technique, and beautiful tone, Carla Leurs could already be heard in Carnegie Hall during the "Artist International Debut Series", and in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw in Shostakovich' 1st Violin Concerto with Maestro Vassily Sinaisky.
In the past months, Carla performed the violin concertos of Tchaikovksy and Paganini in the USA and Turkey. She also performed chamber music of Messiaen, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Debussy, Bruch and others. Also performing regularly as concertmaster, she played this season Mozartiana by Tchaikovksy with the Radio Chamber Philharmonic and Jaap van Zweden at the Concertgebouw, With Later this season Carla can be heard with Vivaldi's Four Seasons at the Bosphurus University in Istanbul, Paganini's 1st violin concerto at the Meistersingerhalle in Nurnberg, Mendelssohn's concerto in the Netherlands, with chamber music concerts throughout Europe and as a concertmaster with the Nederlands Kamerorkest (Dutch Chamber Orchestra) and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She will also record the first of two volumes, of the soloworks for violin by J.S. Bach. |
